Note to self:

I needed a reminder…things were getting a little cloudy on my end. I have the tendency to write everything down (I have like 5 journals lol) , so I almost wrote it on paper, but then I thought I’d post a blog, so if anyone else needs the reminder, they can benefit too.

Almost everyone around you, wants to make you just like everyone else. RESIST. Too many girls think that their self worth is based on how beautiful they appear to others. Don’t fall into this trap! Even the beauty of the most beautiful woman on earth will be of no use to her when she is dead. Hold on tightly to the commands of Allah swt, and the sunnah, even if sometimes doing so, makes other people think you’re ugly. It’s not what they think, but what Allah swt thinks, that is going to matter in the end. If you try to please everyone, you will please no one. The world is a fleeting shadow, only fools chase after it.

Amidst the life of luxury you’re living,don’t forget about those with nothing. Keep Allah’s thanks and praise on your tongue. Keep the oppressed and the needy in your du’aas constantly, and if there is ever an opportunity to give, remember that death is just around the corner and that holding back will only harm oneself: Allah swt will replace you with someone else that will help those in need.  Shaitan promises you poverty but Shaitan is a liar, indeed. Trust in Allah. Remove from yourself any luxury that may be a burden to you on the Day of Judgment. And don’t fall weak. There is no strength or power except in Allah, and the best of luxuries will be in the next life.

Live in the world as a traveler, anything more is illusion. The dunya is just one stop along the way.
